The Mayor of Bridgend County Borough Council, Councillor Jefferson Tildesley, has organised a charity book fayre. The event will be held in the foyer of Civic Offices on Friday 27 and Monday 30 November, from 10am to 4pm.
Mayor Councillor Jefferson Tildesley said: "I am an avid reader myself, so this seems the perfect way to raise money for our chosen charities while also encouraging people in the borough to enjoy a good book. I hope to see many people browsing the selection on offer - I know I will be."
Offering new and nearly new books, the fayre has been organised alongside Bridgend County Civic Charity Appeals Committee to raise funds for the 2009/10 local charities: Yellow Wales, Glaze Prostate Charity Wales and The Stroke Association.
